Upper Big Water Trail

Upper Big Water has some of the best single-tracks along the Wasatch Front. And this ride is one of my all time favorites. Start out like you are heading to Dog Lake. (make sure and look at the trail description for Dog Lake while you are here!!)  1 1/2 miles up the trail you will come to a fork, hang a left towards Great Western Trail (see the picture below). Continue through some of the most incredible forests until you reach a saddle overlooking the Park City Valley.

How to get there: From I-215 take Exit 3 (3900 South). Turn north on Wasatch Boulevard to 3800 South. Turn east at the Mill Creek Canyon sign. The road ends 9 miles up the canyon at the Big Water Trailhead. Mill Creek Canyon is a FEE area. Be prepared to pay $ 2.25 per car ( in 1998). This is collected when leaving the canyon. Before you bitch about having to pay...try the trails first! They have done an incredible job with your money. This ride is worth a whole lot more then $ 2.00 !!

                                ATTENTION

Upper Mill Creek Canyon is CLOSED to Mountain Biking on ODD-NUMBERED calendar days!! YES, this means YOU!!!

This canyon has some of the best riding along the Wasatch Front. But if we don't respect the rules, it will be closed to us.
