What is your favorite ride?

• I have a number of "favorite" rides; you can find a list of them here: Top Ten Rides in Utah.

How do you rate your trails for difficulty?

• I base then on my experience as a rider, and on that of the people that I ride with.
• I would rate myself as a strong intermediate rider

How do you rate your trails for scenery?

• This is strictly my own opinion!  How many times I stopped to enjoy the view is a good indicator!

What kind of bike to you ride?

Petroglyphs in your header?

• They are "inspired" by the Buckhorn Wash Panel and the Freemont Indian culture over 2,000 years ago. . And "borrowed" from MECCA.

I'm looking for a beginner ride in the Salt Lake Area.

• The Jordan Parkway in both Salt Lake and Utah counties is a good ride for families.
• City Creek Canyon is another nice ride.
• For "beginner" trail rides, I recommend, Millcreek Canyon Pipeline , sections of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and the Big Water Trail.

I'm looking for a ride along the Wasatch Front that I can do during the winter months.

•   Stansbury Island can be ridden most of the winter
•   City Creek Canyon is plowed to the water treatment plant (about 3 miles)
• The Jordan Parkway is usually clear enough to ride
• The Bonneville Shoreline is usually the last to close and the first to open.

How do you find new trails?

• The best source for trails is a guide book by Gregg Bromka, Mountain Biking Utah's Wasatch and Uinta Mountains.
• People that visit my website will recommend new trails.
• By spending countless hours looking at topographical maps!

How do you map the trails?

• I use a Garmin Etrex Vista GPS and the National Geographic USGS Topographical maps.  This is also the software that I use to produce the "profile" of a trail.
• Luckily the friends I ride with are used to me getting us lost and taking "shortcuts".  And always looking for new areas to ride.

What kind of camera do you use?

• I use a Sony MVC-CD300 (3.3 mega pixel) digital camera.
• Again, I'm lucky to have fellow riders who are very patient with me and my picture taking.  I've lost count of how many times I've stopped us on some incredible singletrack in order to take a picture!

Where do you stay in Moab?

• Our group has always enjoyed staying at the Apache Motel.

Where's the best place to eat in Moab?

• My favorite is Eddie McStiff's
• If Eddie's is closed for the season, then the Moab Brewery
