Glenwild Loop

Glenwild Loop is a fast fun singletrack! It has just the right about of climbing, followed by a section of singletrack that requires three words to describe it: FAST, FAST, and FASTER!! The "front nine" on Glenwild Loop is an excellent climb! It has just enough rocks and roots to keep your attention, but not enough to slow you down! The "back nine" starts out as a downhill switchback fest!! Then turns into an open meadow, sagebrush lined rocket track!! There's a small climb back to the ridgeline, which offers outstanding views of Park City, then it's another fast switchback paced race to the trailhead! This loop is so much fun you need to give yourself time to do it twice!!!
How to get there: Take the Park City exit at Kimball Junction off of Interstate 80. Turn left at the stoplight, crossing over I-80, turn right onto the frontage road. Follow the frontage road past the red Springcreek Christian Fellowship Church, take the first left after the church. The trailhead is on the left about 100 yards.
Mountain Trails Foundation and Basin Recreation have created an excellent map of the area. Get your copy at White Pine Touring, JANS, Cole Sport, the Visitor's Center, or the Museum on Main Street.
Length: 8.5 mile loop
