National Historic Site

On May 10, 1869 the East and West were joined together at Promontory Utah! This trail follows that historic rail grade. The average grade rise on this ride is two-percent! But the history of the area makes it a worth while ride. Stop in the visitors center get a map from the Rangers. (there is a small fee to enter the Visitors Center)

How to get there: From I-15, take exit 368 to Corrine. There is a sign for the Golden Spike site.  Head west about 25 miles, following the signs for the site.
