Mohrland Trail

The Mohrland Trail or Berma road, is a fun, easy introductory ride into the Huntington and Castle Valley areas of Utah. Along with the coal mining history and the views of the San Rafael Swell this ride is great fun! For more on the history of the town of Mohrland, and the coal mining in the Huntington area, click here.

The ride itself is an easy, low technical, up and down ride along the foothills of Gentry Mountain, then down the scenic byway of Huntington Creek (paved). After following Berma road to it's end at highway 31, take a left onto highway 31, look for North Loop Road on the left (4.1 miles). Follow North Loop Road for for 1.8 miles then turn left onto Old Homestead road, follow this for 0.7 miles, then turn left (north) onto a side road. Follow this road north for about 1 mile, when you come to a bridge crossing a canal, take the road to the right that is on the same side of the canal that you are on! Don't cross the canal, the road on the other side is private property. Follow the canal road to Huntington State Park!

How to get there: From Huntington, go north on SR-10 for 2.2 miles, turn left (west) onto SR-122, for 8.7 miles. The Mohrland trailhead is on the left.
