Monitor and Merrimac

Monitor and Merrimac would be a relatively easy ride (for Moab) if not for the long stretches of sand!  The ride up Mill Canyon is beautiful and the slickrock playgrounds at the base of Monitor and Merrimac are more then worth the time spent slogging through the sand!  Determination Towers are a worthy side trip, as is the Dinosaur bone foot path.

How to get there: 16.5 miles north of Moab.  Heading north on US 191 the turnoff is just past mile marker 141.  It is signed "Mill Canyon Road".
