Mt. Wire Pipeline Trail

Mount Wire Pipeline Trail is a great singletrack away from the crowds.  The lower portion is steep with loose rock. The Pipeline itself is loose gravel and has more hills then a roller coaster!!  Start out like you are heading up the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.  At 1/2 mile into the B.S.T. you come to a road, turn right and descend about 30 yards, taking the singletrack on your left.  From here it's all up hill to the pipeline.  After reaching the pipeline, the choice is yours, turn left and follow it back to the B.S.T.  or turn right and follow it up Emigration Canyon.

How to get there: Take Sunnyside Ave. east towards This is the Place State Park and Hogle Zoo. Just before you enter Emigration Canyon,  you will see a small parking area on your left. The same trailhead for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.

Length: 4 miles out and back (There are many ways you can lengthen this ride, head up Emigration Canyon until your legs tire, or at the pipeline, turn left and rejoin the B.S.T. making a loop back to the trailhead)
