Ogden Bench, North Section

The North Section of the Ogden Bonneville Shoreline Trail is a fun quick trail. It starts out (from the Ogden Canyon TH) as singletrack, then changes to a graded road, along side a concrete aqueduct, then switches back to singletrack for a few miles, then turns to graded road again. At the top of the first section of singletrack, hang a right on the graded road to view Ogden Canyon, stay left and follow the road until you come to a fenced off section, backtrack about 100 yards, and the singletrack continues on the East side. From here on out, it's pretty easy to follow. You can continue this ride all the way to the North Ogden Divide, but a good turn around point is just before Cold Water Canyon. There is a black gate across the road, guarded by "Spike" a huge bulldog. We didn't explore beyond this point!

How to get there: I recommend starting the ride at the south end. Take the 12th St. exit from I-15 and head east. Just before entering Ogden Canyon, park on the north side of the highway. This is just across the street from the Rainbow TH.
