Poison Spider Mesa is a great ride, very tough, very strenuous, but worth the effort. After a steep initial climb on loose rock you are faced with the "granddaddy" of all sand traps!! It's a monster...get ready.  After the steep climb on loose rocks, the killer sand trap, you are faced with what one of my riding partners called a "stone waterfall"!! Extreme ledging abilities are required to get up this section. Once on top of the Mesa you have a great slickrock playground all the way to the arch.

How to get there: From Main in Moab, drive 4.3 miles north on Highway 191 to Potash Road. Drive 10.4 miles to the trailhead.  Just past the sign for the "Dinosaur tracks" sign.
