Rail Trail

The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail is a 28-mile non-motorized trail that begins or ends in Park City and follows Interstate 80 through Wanship and Coalville to Echo Reservoir. The Rail Trail is an excellent ride for beginners or families with children. Since it follows the old railroad right of way, the grade is almost nonexistent. You will gain 701' and descend 2,071'. You can pick up a trail side guide from the Mountain Trails Foundation, and take a tour through history, and learn about the wildlife and eco system along the trail!
How to get there:Take the Park City exit at Kimball Junction off of Interstate 80. Take State Highway 224 into Park City, approx.. 6 miles. Highway 224 turns into Park Avenue, take a left onto Kearns Blvd., then a right onto Bonanza Dr, then turn on Prospector Ave. parking is located behind the Park City Plaza.
