Retail Sale

Retail Sale is a great, fun ride just west of Vernal. It is a true "open desert" ride! There are no trees to offer shade on this ride! You will twist and turn through open sagebrush and around rock formations on singletrack that is truly single! Very narrow and tight, just the way singletrack was meant to be! Rich Etchberger has put together an excellent guide book on the trails in northeastern Utah. I highly recommend you pick up a copy. You can get it from Altitude Cycle in Vernal. Any mistakes on mileage or trail information is strictly my own! The times that I quote Rich, you can rest assured are accurate and easy to follow!!

How to get there: "Drive west on US 40, 6.2 miles to the [turnoff]. (6.2 miles from where?? You'll have to pick up Rich's book or stop in at Altitude Cycle and ask for Troye to find out!!) Turn left and drive 3.1 miles to the trailhead on your left. Park next to the [corral]. The trail starts across the [road].................Rich Etchberger; Northeastern Utah Rides" Again, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Rich's book. Roll it up and stuff it in your CamelBak, and enjoy!!
