Sawmill Hollow

Sawmill Hollow starts out as a "road ride", that quickly turns to a dirt road up to the summit. It's a long steady climb to the top of Timber Mountain. The Forest Service has recently graded and leveled the road all the way to the meadow on top of Timber Mountain. From the summit the views are incredible but short-lived, you still have Sawmill Hollow to contend with. A quote from Gregg Bromka's book, Mountain Biking Utah's Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, is very fitting.  "The Sawmill Hollow single-track is a hair-raising, free-falling descent through tight turns. When you take the plunge, you're eyes will be as big as the moon and knuckles as white as pearls....lower your seat an inch or two and cinch down your brain bucket...some sections redline the "Oh-Sh*t" meter!"

How to get there: Take exit 261 from I-15 towards Manti.  5 miles up Spanish Fork Canyon take a left on Diamond Fork Road.  Go 14.5 miles up Diamond Fork. There is plenty of parking at the Sawmill Hollow Trailhead.
