Solamere Loop

Solamere Loop is another
great ride at Deer Valley Resort! Solamere Loop can be ridden either clockwise,
or counterclockwise, it depends on if you prefer to climb the Gap Trail, or
descend the Gap Trail!! Solamere consists of the Gap Trail, Snowtop, Hidden
Hollow and the Gambel Oak Trail. There is a few hundred yards of pavement
in Hidden Hollow, but what's a little pavement for an extra 2 miles of singletrack!!
(hang a left at both stop signs, the Solamere Connection is directly across
from the clubhouse at the tennis courts). The trail has a few technical spots,
mainly the Gap Trail, but for the most part, it's a nice rocky, fast ride!!
There are plenty of switchbacks to practice on, and views of Deer Valley,
Park City and the Jordanelle Reservoir.
How to get there: Take exit 145 from I-80, stay on Highway 224 for 5.76 miles until you hit Deer Valley Drive, stay right on Deer Valley and follow the signs for Snow Park Lodge.
Mountain Trails Foundation has created an excellent map of the area. Get your copy at White Pine Touring, JANS, Cole Sport, the Visitor's Center, or the Museum on Main Street.
Length: 6.79 mile loop
