The St. George area is located 303 miles south west of Salt Lake City. Due to the warm climate the area is also known as Utah's Dixie. This makes for an excellent Utah mountain biking destination during the winter months! For those that like to ride "the red rock" St. George is built directly upon Jurassic, Triassic, and Permian period sedimentary bedrock, which makes the area naturally a vivid red.
