How to get there:  Head up I street to 11th avenue, turn right and then head left on Terrace Hills Dr. (it's right above the City Cemetery). The road ends at a circle. Park here and you can head either left or right on the trail. (This is also the trail head for the ride to Black Mountain, on the right)

Description: If you elect to go left at the trailhead, you will climb a relatively steep, but short, section. Once on top hang a sharp left on the singletrack.  The view of the valley from here is incredible! Follow the singletrack to the Northwest, it drops down into a grassy valley then you face some steep switchbacks down to the mouth of City Creek Canyon. (remember, there is no off road biking in City Creek Canyon). Get a drink at the spring at the mouth of the canyon, then hit the trail hard to get back up the first couple of steep switchbacks.

If you elect to go right at the trailhead, you will be faced with a long, rocky climb to the top. Once there, the singletrack continues to your right.  It is an incredible fun ride with great views of the Wasatch Front. If you continue on you will drop down Dry Gulch Canyon and come out just to the east of the "U" on the mountain. The trail continues east towards the University of Utah.

Length: 4.5 miles out and back (doing only the left hand section of the trail, the right is described in my Black Mountain trail section)
