The Uinta Mountains are the roof of Utah.
A subrange of the Rocky Mountains, they are unusual for being the highest range in the contiguous
United States running east to west they are approximately 100 mi east of Salt Lake City.
The peaks range in height from 11,000-13,500 ft with the highest being Kings Peak at 13,528 ft
the highest point in Utah. There are a number of great mountain bike rides in the Uinta area. Most of the trails open to mountain bikers will be shared by ATVs. Don't let this scare you away, you can find plenty of solitude and the sheer beauty of the Uinta mountain range is worthy of the trip. More trails....coming SOON! |
